Refund Policy

Please read and make sure you fully understand our refund policy prior to making a payment.

Stacked Sites operates as a business and we expect CLIENTS to understand and respect our policies. Our goal as an internet marketing company is to bring the highest value per dollar spent by our CLIENTS, and in order to help us in that pursuit, we need to cover expenses and fuel our operations. Therefore, we require payments to be made on time with respect to the services offered to CLIENT.

THIS IS OUR REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY AND BY HIRING STACKED SITES FOR SERVICES YOU ARE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT AND YOU AGREE TO ABIDE BY OUR POLICIES.

Web Development:

Web design and development projects require extensive resources, consume both our time and effort, and incur significant internal expenses. Therefore once a payment or deposit is made, it is non-refundable. 

In the event that a project gets canceled, delayed, or postponed by the CLIENT, then all monies paid will be retained by Stacked Sites and if applicable, an additional cost will be charged to the CLIENT for all work completed beyond what was already paid for. No exceptions.

Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, & Internet Marketing

Payments for Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, or any of our Internet Marketing services are non-refundable even if a fee was paid in advance. Once a payment or deposit is made, there are no exceptions to our refund policy.

Setup Fees:

Setup fees are applied directly to expenses incurred by Stacked Sites in the setup phase of any SEO or Internet Marketing campaigns and are non-refundable.

Chargebacks:

We normally ask for CLIENT credit card or payment info so that we can charge the CLIENTS card for services provided OR we may also send an invoice so that you can pay from your side. Claiming that you didn’t provide your card info or that you are not aware of such charges is illegal and fraudulent.

If any chargeback or payment dispute is caused by CLIENT to a bank or credit card company, then CLIENT services and/or projects will be suspended, and in some cases, all work will be undone (reversed) without notice. 

Furthermore, the amount of the chargeback fee will be issued to CLIENT (to recover any fees passed on to us by the credit card company).

In Addition, any outstanding balances accrued as a result of the chargeback(s) will have to be paid in full before we restore service, deliver any files, or commence any work.

In certain cases, we reserve the right to take legal action if your chargeback was without merit. We work hard, and have expenses, and will pursue our rights in court if necessary.

Please note that requesting a chargeback or opening a dispute for a valid charge is fraud. 

Chargebacks are never a legal or appropriate means of obtaining a refund. All disputes will be challenged by our lawyers with sufficient evidence from our records.

Website Hosting

All hosting payments whether present or past months are non-refundable. Web hosting accounts are set up from the date of your order and are allotted a limited amount of server resources depending on the plan you purchased.

If CLIENT opens a hosting account but does not use it, payment will still be due. Hosting billing cycles continue until a cancellation notice is received in writing from the CLIENT.

Account Suspension

All payments that are 15 days past due may trigger an account suspension. 

Hosting paid up to 12 months in advance and canceled before the expiration date may at our discretion be refunded pro-rata. For example, if you were given a discount for paying in advance, and cancel prior to your term ending, you may be charged the regular amount for the months that you’ve used, and be refunded the difference as if the discount had never been granted. 

All refunds are 100% at our discretion. No exceptions.

Stacked Sites reserves the right to disable and/or terminate a user’s account, services, or contract if a user is found in violation of our terms of service, or for any other reason, at our sole discretion. Termination due to policy violations will not be refunded.

Absolutely. Of course, this applies within reason. Each Stacked Site account comes with a few hours of initial website customizations.
We use WordPress, which powers over 43% of the web globally. With the WordPress CMS (content management system), websites are dependable, safe, and secure. Best of all, by choosing to work with Stacked Sites, you won’t be locked into using our platform indefinitely. If you ever migrate away from the Stacked Sites platform, you’ll be in good hands with a massive community of WordPress developers supporting you.

Nope, not here. We believe in fair and honest pricing. If your plan includes any extra costs we will let you know up-front.
We don’t believe in contracts. You can cancel your plan with us at any time.
After your first initial payment, you’ll get full ownership rights to your website. This includes any sort of media and digital assets used in your project.  However, you won’t get access to your website’s custom dashboard after migrating away from the Stacked Sites platform.  Reach out to customer service to learn more about the migration process.

To cancel or manage your plan, sign into your dashboard and navigate to the “Billing” menu link. Here you’ll be able to manage your subscription.

 

 

 

 

Your domain is yours to keep, regardless of whether we purchase it or you do. If we register your domain and you terminate our service, we will transfer your domain to you as soon as possible. When a top-level domain is registered on a domain registrar it’s standard ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) policy to lock domain transfers for 60 days after registration.
We use Squarespace Domains for all domain management.
Generally, most companies update their website look and feel every few years. Designing and developing a new website can easily cost several thousand dollars. However, with Stacked Sites it’s part of our basic service offering. Anytime you’d like to update your Stacked Site please contact your account manager. Depending on the scope of your new website, upgrade requests may take a few days to one week.
